Tune Time Music
I have
started creating back up music for old tyme fiddle tunes and
putting it to CD.
I play the fiddle as well and could never
find a piano player to play for me, so I created my own
accompaniment.
I am set up at home to create accompaniment
for any tune
and have the necessary equipment to duplicate
my own CD's.
The feedback so far has been very positive. I'm
hoping it will continue! Best Regards, Geoff Horrocks

American Fiddle Method: Canadian
Fiddle Styles.
Expert fiddlers Brian Wicklund
www.fiddlepal.com
and Canadian fiddle master April Verch
www.aprilverch.com
team up to delve into the dynamic world of Canadian fiddling
for the ultra-popular American Fiddle Method. April is among
the busiest fiddlers in Canada. Her inspired fans have long
clamoured for her instruction. This highly anticipated
intermediate-level book explores Canada’s rich fiddle
traditions including Old Time Canadian, French Canadian,
Cape Breton and Métis. More than just a collection of great
tunes, this book demystifies common ornaments and bowing
patterns used in Canadian fiddling. The authors teach the
simple melody to reels, jigs, hornpipes, waltzes,
schottisches, airs and strathspeys and demonstrate how to
create variations using the skills in the book. Great
play-along CD. 80 page book + 60 minute CD.

Why this approach works?
Hear a song.
On this site, you can hear the song recorded by
professionals.
Learn it quick.
The second track is a slow version of the fiddle song to
help out to develop each section of the song.
Enjoy playing it with great piano backup.
Finally, this section allows you to enjoy playing your newly
learned song on the fiddle while being accompanied by a
great piano player.
I look forward to hearing of your enjoyment with this
website, and happy fiddling! All the best, Mark Sullivan

Karen has been teaching fiddle for over 25
years. She offers lessons to students of any age and teaches
a variety of fiddle styles. Karen uses a holistic approach
as she tailors lessons to meet individual needs. She moves

incorporate their fundamental 'self' into their playing,
which, in turn, becomes evident through individual
expression.
Lessons with Karen are enjoyable, challenging, and
informative. She inspires and motivates her students through
creative methods, an insightful approach along with her care
of their individual needs. Karen believes in working
alongside each person to guide them toward reaching their
fullest potential and achieving their personal goals.
